AAF Week 4 Predictions!!

It’s week four folks! There’s lots of questions to be answered this week. Perhaps none more important than this: Will Memphis or Atlanta get its first win this weekend? Let’s see: San Diego Fleet at Memphis Express: San Diego is riding high with two big home wins in a row. They have confidence in their QB, and the defense is playing at a high level. On paper, this seems like an easy W for the Fleet. But, Memphis made a change at the QB position last weekend and Zach Mettenberger put up some big second half numbers, and RB Sherman Badie provided a little bit of electricity on the ground as well. All this adds up to the Express getting their first win of the year. The Prediction: Memphis 22, San Diego 20 Orlando Apollos at Salt Lake City Stallions Orlando seems to be one of the most complete teams in the AAF. Excellent QB play, efficient running,  and a playmaking defense has the Apollos at the top of most power rankings . There were a few injury scares last game,

AAF Week 3 Wrap-Up

San Diego takes Command of San Antonio The San Diego Fleet won its second consecutive game at home, upending a San Antonio team that was favored prior to the game. The Fleet were led by RB Ja’Quan Gardner, who rattled off an 83 yard run to not only seal the win, but set a record for longest run in AAF history.  San Antonio falls to 1-2 on the season. They will be looking for answers on both sides of the ball this weekend against undefeated Birmingham. O rlando Leaves Memphis Winless The Memphis Express remained winless on Saturday night, but there was still cause for celebration. Backup QB Zach Mettenberger provided a significant spark off of the bench for Memphis, throwing for 120 yards and two TDs in the second half. The Express are 0-3, but they have found an answer at QB. The Alliance of American Football

The end of the NFL season is always kind of a downer for most fans. Regardless if their team won the big game or had a down year, the end of the season means no meaningful football games for six months or more. Things can being to look bleak, as fans wait for free agency and the draft. Enter the Alliance. The Alliance of American Football, or AAF, is an upstart league that is currently in the third week of its inaugural season. The first year teams are located in Arizona, Atlanta, San Antonio, San Diego, Orlando, Salt Lake City, Birmingham, and Memphis. Reception has been mostly positive, as its TV numbers on CBS for the debut weekend were strong . But what might be the best thing so far about the AAF is that it's fun.  There are teams full of guys who just want to extend their playing careers and get some on-field experience for another shot at the NFL.  These players are playing for the love of the game.
