Control. I think that is the one thing that we want more than any other thing in the world. We want to be in charge of what happens to us. We want to dictate to those around us and even to the stars above exactly how things are going to turn out for us. We spend hours worrying about what we can do to make sure everything turns out the way we want it to, and even then we aren’t sure it’s going to go our way until it happens. There is a phrase in sports that refers to teams being in “control of their own destiny.” That is where they always want to be: in control. Sometimes it doesn’t work out that way though, and teams end up needing help from others to get where they want to go. That’s where Eagles’ Nation finds itself this weekend, needing a win and some help to get to the postseason.
