A Roaring Lion
This week marks the second week that the Eagles have dropped a close game to an opponent that many thought they should have beaten. They are sloppy on the field, they are arguing off the field, and generally look lost. When last year ended, the Eagles could not have been more popular. They won it all, and more importantly the ones that are Believers gave thanks to our Lord and Savior. Head Coach Doug Pederson, MVP Nick Foles, Zach Ertz, and Carson Wentz were all very vocal in praising God for their achievements. Many people bought their books and heard their testimonies. It was truly a great moment for them and they rightly credited their faith as part of what got them to the top. Many people who read those books got to read about God's love and maybe were even exposed to the Gospel for the first time. But as believers, we know that as the Gospel begins to advance, opposition begins to rise. I believe that is part of what is happening right now. Pride, envy, and dissension are
